Prisoner of War mail, from John Taylor, addressed to Official Custodian, April 24, 1941

This typewritten prisoner of war mail was signed by John S. Taylor, the alias of John Taglierino, and is addressed to the Official Custodian, April 24, 1941. Taglierino was a known and previously convicted criminal. Some of the Italian-Canadian internees seem to have been interned for their criminal activities rather than any political or subversive activities.

Taylor is asking for the return of his lighter which was confiscated during his arrest and detainment at the Canadian National Exhibition grounds in Toronto.
