Men and women selling copies of The New Advance magazine at Oppenheimer Park

This photograph shows a group of men and women standing in front of a building at Oppenheimer Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. The park is located in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. The park was opened in 1902 as the Powell Street Grounds by Vancouver's second mayor David Oppenheimer. It was later renamed in honour of the mayor. The men and women are selling copies of The New Advance magazine. The sign in the background reads: "Stop the murder of the Spanish people by German and Italian fascism."
