The caption which accompanied the photograph reads: Mysterious disappearance a year ago of Rocco Perri, Hamilton Italian and former liquor-running partner of Louis Wernick, comes into the news again with Wernick's murder yesterday. It is conjectured there may be a tie up in the two cases. Perri is shown as he appeared in court some time ago. The photograph was last published on January 27, 1945.
